St Francis 2014 a

O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; The earth is full of your creatures.  — Psalm 104:25

St. Francis of Assisi blessed animals and people alike, and included all God’s creatures in his prayers and songs. We celebrate the Feast Day of St. Francis by bringing our own animals for blessing, in recognition that they are gifts to us from God.
